Plating Barrels

Side view of a coating line. Fasteners, plating media and metal powders are combined in the barrels above. The barrels are then rotated to with precise bath chemistry to efficiently cold-weld the metal powders onto the fastener surface, after which the mixture is tipped out and separated prior to passivation and sealing.

Proprietary Plating Sealers

The as-plated steel fasteners are then passivated and sealed on a dedicated line, after which the parts are either complete (for inorganic metallic-only surface coating), or primed for the further deposition of polymer topcoats.

Dip Spin Topcoat Lines

ZNK+ also operates fully-automatic dip-spin surface coating lines for the addition of organic, thermoset polymer topcoats. These topcoats can be specially tailored for the particular application, including adjusting for color, friction, lubricity and resistance to acidic environments or treated lumber.
